Moorpark Image

Breed: Irish Draught

Height: 16 HH

Weight: ~1450 lbs

Colour: Bay

Description:

Moorpark Image joined the Fourwinds Farm herd in 2015. His presence here is the fruition of many dreams for me: dressage dreams, Irish Draught breeding dreams, horsekeeping dreams. I am deeply honoured that Frank Olivito entrusted me with his “horse of a lifetime.”
Image was bred in County Roscommon Ireland by Patrick Costello and imported to North America as a colt. He was inspected by the Irish Draught Horse Society of North America in 2003 and approved as a stallion. During his years at Frank’s Abbeymoor Farm in North Carolina, Image was trained under saddle and served as a breeding stallion. Adam Gamble developed him as a dressage horse, and showed him for a few years. In 2016 Image’s son Epona’s Amhran Mo Chroi was approved as a Class 1 Irish Draught Stallion by the Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada.

He stamps his babies first and foremost with his kind, calm and intelligent temperament. Most are bay, but not all. They get his springy and cadenced movement, as well as a good jump. While a few are tall, most are in the 16 to 16.2 range.”  More details visit http://www.fourwindsfarm.ca/Fourwinds_Farm/Moorpark_Image_RID.html
